OUR PRODUCT
A classic luxury fudge, very rich, creamy in taste, soft in texture with a ‘melt in the mouth’ quality. Our customers tell us it reminds them of the fudge their mothers or grandmothers used to make.
INGREDIENTS
We use Mrs Beeton’s own recipe, with sugar, butter, double cream and whole milk, and add vanilla essence, golden syrup and cocoa powder, stem ginger, rum and raisins, Irish Cream liqueur, muscovado sugar, or cherry brandy for the respective flavours.
PACKAGING
Because it is a luxury product and so often bought as a gift, we present our fudge in the same way as good quality chocolates in metallised transparent bags tied with curling ribbon.
SHELF LIFE
There are no preservatives in our fudge apart from the natural preservative qualities of sugar itself, so we give it a shelf life of a month from the time of making. Best kept in the fridge it is more delicious the fresher you eat it, and can be eaten frozen, (the vanilla is most delicious eaten this way), but should not be kept long after defrosting. |
